Harvey Prince: Ageless and Submariner

Well how awesome is this!  In less than a week I received my recent purchase of Ageless (for me) and Submariner (for hubby) just in time for Friday night dinner and a movie. These both smell wonderful without being overpowering and the 8.8ml is a perfect fit for my purse.


Ageless is soft and seductive while Submariner (the only men's fragrance at this time) is fresh and enchanting.  Both are perfect for date night and will definitely get you a naughty nibble! Or two :)

The best part for me is that I do not have an allergic skin reaction from wearing perfumes from this company nor have they induced repetitive episodes of sneezing!

My Glam: Endless Summer (August 2012)

All I can say is WOW!  My Glam continues to provide unique and wonderful products and this month contained a secret surprise!  You know you can't wait so keep on reading!

Eclos is a company that uses plant extracts to develop products to help your skin look better and feel younger.  This is perfect to use at night and let it work its magic while you are sleeping. Isn't it nice that something works while you sleep! Amazing stuff!

This was a big surprise and I opened it immediately.  This unassuming white power with a hint of glitter is magic for the eyes! Use as eye shadow and it becomes a pink shimmery glow! I rarely wear eye shadow, but I've been wearing this almost daily! Can't wait to order more! When I look in the mirror (I'm conservative at work) & see the shimmer on my eyelids my whole day gets better!

What better compliment to the eyes than coordinating nail polish.  Circus is great! I call this "bubble gum pink" and its a showstopper! Love it!




Demeter's Clean Skin is a very light and soft scent and reminds me of summertime. It's very subtle yet fabulous! The best part is that it won't enter the room 5 minutes before you do and it doesn't linger after you leave.  Perfection!




Those Ladies at My Glam kept their surprise and it was worth the wait! A full size bottle of MyGlam pink lip gloss!  Hey, if you are going to do pink-do it right- and these Ladies did! The gloss is shiny but not too strong that it becomes overpowering.  It fits in your purse and the soft color can be applied quickly w/o using a mirror.





Great bag this month full of goodies that make you feel great! So paint those nails, put on your MyGlam lipgloss, dust those eyes with s.a.l.t.y cosmetics (and check out their website) and dab on a little Clean Skin!  The office will be wondering what naughty things you've been up to lately!

What's in your make-up bag? Lipsticks!

Not everyone has or is addicted to instagram, so I've decided to post my own picture here.  I know I carry around more make-up than I need or use but there are just some items a girl can't live without.  My lips are always chapped so I have tubes of Chapstick everywhere! (sometimes they end up in the dryer so my hubby banned red chapstick) But the rest of my lipstick collection stays in my purse.  I like the neutral colors the best because it allows me to quickly put lipstick on and not really have to worry if its perfect and I hate lipsticks that leave that "this used to be the color on my lips" ring around the mouth!

Anyway, here's mine!  What lipsticks is in your bag?

Beauty Bar: August 2012

While this wasn't my favorite Beauty Bar/Sample Society box, it does contain some awesome products!

At first glance I didn't know what to think because nothing super duper really jumped out at me.  But after taking a closer look I started to realize how cool most of the items are.

I love the Deborah Lipmann purple but wasn't sure if it was a color I could pull off, but I received so many complements on it that I don't think I'll be shy wearing it.  I do have to go shopping to find some blouses that match the color (yeah shopping)!

When you begin to enter your 40's all moisturizers are good, even for oily skin.  I have combination skin that leans toward more dry than oily.  This product goes into the skin and lasts all day without any skin irritations.

I have wanted to try this brand for a while now.  Its a great treatment you soak into the hair about 15 minutes and wash  it out.  I shower at night and allow my hair to air dry.  In the morning my hair is super soft and shiny!  Love this!

At first I wasn't sure what this was, but its a toner (Arcona) and a very good one with a soft cranberry scent.  It smells incredible and doesn't over dry my skin. I usually skip the toner due to my dry skin but this just may change my mind.  I also Love this one!

This is another product I had not heard of and its another moisturizer (when you are my age, no you cannot have too many) and I use it at night before bedtime.  Its a little runny and a little goes a long way.  I use it on my face and neck and I am very pleased with it.

Jane Iredale is a product I am becoming more and more familiar with and this thickening mascara is a little too thick for me.  I wear contacts and this sometimes gets into my eyes so I gave it to my teenager who sports with uber long lashes.  She loves it and doesn't leave the house with out it.

Overall this really is a great box with a nice variety of products to try and I can't wait to see what they come up with next month!

Glossy Box July Edition: Summer Nights

Its always a great surprise to receive Glossybox and see the wonderful items inside!  The glossy mag is full of wonderful products to try.  I just try to look at all of the pics before my teenager comes along and "borrows" the mag and will return it "in a minute" and I never see it again.  At least I can get the box to the bathroom, lock the door and enjoy the samples!!

This month's box does not disappoint!  It has everything you need to keep that summer loving going strong while looking fantastic! Goodies include Sebastian shampoo/conditioner, a wonderful hand and body lotion, a little something to help out with that pedicure, sexy summer lip gloss, and an eyebrow pencil to create those dramatic eyes like a Hollywood starlite!

This luscious lather for your hands and body will keep the dry skin far away and out of mind.

Every girl should have pretty feet and if you don't have time for all of the fab nail art (would stick people look good on toes anyway?) then you can at least exfoliate and moisturize.  Strappy sandals or flip flops you'll look like you've just stepped out of the salon. I use this at night and love the non greasy feel!

Loose lips sink ships but not with this double whammy of sexy glittter sand colored lips gloss and sexy beachy sunset colored lip gloss. Each gloss can be used together or separately and the gloss lasts forever!

I've been reading a lot into eyebrows.  Why?  Well, normally its something I just do not put a lot of thought or work into.  Mine are somewhat thin, not much of an arch, and darker than my hair color.  To me they are easy to maintain and I think that's the way it should be!  However, they could use a little definition to become a bit bolder.  I was thinking of using an eye brow stencil.

Garnier Fructis Fall Fight Sample Shampoo/Conditioner

Over the weekend I received the following sample from Garnier for their new product: Fall Fight.  This product is suppose to strength your hair and prevent breakage so that you don't feel like all of your hair is falling out. The sample sizes are impressive (10ml each) for shampoo and conditioner.  As a bonus there is a $1.00 off coupon good on ANY shampoo, conditioner or treatment which does not EXPIRE until March 1, 2013.  Sweeet!  I've noticed I have a lot of Garnier hair products in my cabinet.

Do you have anxiety by seeing your hair in the brush, sink, drain etc?


When I had long hair, my hair fell out all the time! I swore I would be bald by 35!  My hair is in every car, store, house, sweater, office chairs, restaurant etc that I've ever been in...every drain, vacuum cleaner brush, dryer went etc... you name it! I shed more hair than the cat!  Now that I'm over 40 and I've cut my hair short (above the shoulders) I've noticed that my hair doesn't fall out as much.  Its probably due to hormonal changes but I know my hubby is very happy that he doesn't have to clean the drains as often.

Birchbox Man July Edition: Well I'm Impressed!

The first thing I noticed was that the box was heavy.  Heavy equals something(s) big.  This could only be good news.  After a few months of waiting for an really impressive box: well here it is!

Unless you've been living under a rock, you already know you're getting a T-shirt.  Its a very soft t-shirt in dark grey and fits my hubby perfectly!  He loves it!

There is a nice sample of ORIBE gentle shampoo and conditioner. I'll update once he's used it and see what he thinks!




A FULL size ESCHU skin assist shave gel which my hubby got excited about. If you have to shave everyday/every other day like my man does then yes you will always get excited over shaving products! I'll update once I find out how my hubby likes it





A few tiny samples of Benta Berry moisturizer to keep his face from drying out and leaving no greasy feeling.  I have several of the Benta Berry products and they are FAB!




There is also information about helping to building schools in Central America, additional product information and information regarding the products with the Birchbox Man edition. Overall, this was a much better box than earlier editions.  If there had been only one tiny Benta Berry sample it would have been a let down.  It would have been an OUTSTANDING box if it had included another sample like Kiehl's,  Kyoku exfoliating scrub, Jack Black or Billy Jealousy.

At least there was no cologne sample this month! whew!  While we are enjoying these wonderful products I will wait and see if the ladies at Birchbox can produce an exciting August box full of make up, skin care, hair care, nail care and and another sample of Harvey Prince perfume (wow that stuff is addicting)!
